Protocol breach: Traditional rulers apologise to Deputy Gov

Traditional rulers in Ohafia clan, Ohafia local government of Abia state have tendered an unreserved apology to the state deputy governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu over some protocol breaches against him at a recent state event in the area.

The traditional rulers during a solidarity visit to the deputy governor at his Government House office said that they were not not part of the breaches and lapses that occurred when the people of the local government hosted the governor for reelection endorsement recently.

They, therefore, used the opportunity of the visit to apologize to the governor  and his deputy for whatever protocol breaches and other lapse that occurred during the reception and repledge their continued support and loyalty to the Dr Okezie Ikpeazu’s led administration in the state.

The Ohafia clan council of traditional rulers who spoke through the state Deputy Chairman of the state council of traditional rulers, HRH Eze (Elder) S. A Okorie and Chairman of the Ohafia clan royal fathers, HRH Eze (Engr) Akwu Aja Obobi reassured the governor and his deputy of their full fledged support come 2019 general election.

Responding, the deputy governor Sir Ude Oko Chukwu thanked the royal fathers for the visit and strongly promised that he would convey their messages of solidarity to his boss and governor of the state.

Sir Oko Chukwu reiterated the willingness of the government of the day to sustain its partnership with the traditional institution which they hold in high esteem and solicited their continued support of not only the people of Ohafia clan but that of the entire Abia citizenry to enable the administration succeed for the common good of all.

The solidarity visit attracted the presence of some members of state executive council and top government officials among others.
