Presbyterian Church Honours Anyaso with ‘Beacon of Hope, Love’ Award

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, St. Barnabas Parish, Aba, has honoured prominent philanthropist and entrepreneur, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, with its “Beacon of Hope and Love” award in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian services and contributions to community development.
The award was presented during the parish’s Fourth Anniversary celebration and the dedication of its newly completed ultramodern manse on Sunday, May 31, 2026.


Speaking during the event, the Minister-in-Charge of the parish, Rev. Eke Anyaku, described Dr. Anyaso as a visionary leader whose commitment to philanthropy and human empowerment has positively impacted countless lives.
He noted that the honour was in appreciation of Dr. Anyaso’s consistent support for humanitarian causes, dedication to the welfare of the less privileged, and passion for sustainable community development.
According to Rev. Anyaku, Dr. Anyaso’s selfless service and compassion have made him a symbol of hope and love within and beyond the community.
“His contributions to humanity and unwavering commitment to uplifting others continue to inspire many people,” the cleric stated.
Dr. Anyaso was represented at the occasion by former Commissioner for Environment and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Chima Anyaso Foundation, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha, who received the award on his behalf.
In his response, Onuoha expressed appreciation to the church leadership and congregation for the recognition, describing the award as a motivation for Dr. Anyaso to remain committed to initiatives that promote human welfare and societal development.
He reaffirmed the philanthropist’s resolve to continue supporting meaningful causes aimed at empowering individuals and improving communities.
The event attracted church leaders, dignitaries, members of the congregation, and other guests who gathered to celebrate the parish anniversary and the dedication of the ultramodern manse.
