Emetu Leads Family, Well-Wishers as Brother Dedicates Newborn Triplets in Ohafia

Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, on Sunday joined family members, political associates and worshippers at St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish, Amaekpu Ohafia, for a thanksgiving and dedication service in honour of his younger brother, Barr. Chima Emetu, and wife, Barr. Mrs. Chima Lekwachi Emetu, following the birth of their newborn triplets.
The thanksgiving Mass, held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Parish on Onyirimba Road, Ohafia, attracted a large congregation of family members, members of the Knights and Ladies of St. Mulumba, Labour Party faithful, political stakeholders and other well-wishers who gathered to celebrate what the family described as “three miracles, three blessings and three reasons to give God all the glory.”

Speaking during the service, Deputy Governor Emetu described the birth of the triplets as a divine testimony and a reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness.
He commended the family for their steadfast faith and dedication to God, noting that the blessing had brought immense joy to the family and the wider community.

He prayed for the children to grow in wisdom, good health and favour before God and humanity, while encouraging worshippers not to lose faith in God’s ability to intervene in every circumstance.

Delivering his homily, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Clifford Ogbonna, preached from Psalm 127:3, which says, “Children are the heritage of the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.”
He described the birth of the triplets as evidence of God’s limitless grace and a testimony that miracles remain possible.
The priest congratulated the Emetu family and offered prayers for the continued recovery of the mother and divine protection over the children.
He also urged parents to raise their children in the fear of God and instill values that will make them instruments of service to the Church and society.
In appreciation to God for a successful pregnancy and delivery, the Emetu family announced the permanent restoration of electricity at St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish ,Ohafia. Rev. Fr. Ogbonna received the gesture on behalf of the parish and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the family.

Speaking on behalf of his wife, Barr. Chima Emetu expressed gratitude to God for blessing their family with the gift of the triplets. He also appreciated family members, friends, associates and all those who identified with them and shared in their joy, describing their support, prayers and goodwill as deeply encouraging to the family.
The service featured moments of thanksgiving, worship and joyful celebration, as attendees joined the family in celebrating the arrival of the triplets and offering prayers for their future.
Several dignitaries from within and outside Abia State were present at the event, which ended with renewed expressions of gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
