I have just arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, ahead of the 10th Anniversary Conference of the Ife Institute of Advanced Studies at Harvard University, where I have the honour of serving as a panelist on the theme: “Leadership, Governance and Institutional Trust.”
As someone whose journey has taken him from community service in Bende to the boardroom, and now to a global academic platform, I remain convinced that the future of Africa will not be determined by the abundance of our resources, but by the strength of our institutions, the quality of our leadership, and the trust we build with our people.
Tomorrow presents another opportunity to share Nigeria’s story, contribute to important conversations about governance and development, and learn from distinguished scholars, policymakers and thought leaders from around the world.
I carry with me the hopes, values and resilience of our people. Every stage I stand on is a reminder that with vision, integrity and commitment to service, no dream is beyond reach.
