Gov Otti Pledges Support For Industry Growth As MUNEC Nigeria Plans Flour Mill, Ceramic Industry In Abia

 

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has assured investors of his administration’s unwavering support to establish industries for the state’s development.

 

Governor Otti gave the assurance when he received in audience a delegation from MUNEC Nigeria Limited who paid him a business visit.

 

 

He congratulated the delegation on their initiative to contribute to Abia’s growth and emphasized his administration’s commitment to creating a conducive business environment.

 

The essence of governance is to create an enabling environment for businesses to flourish, industries to be set up, and the social welfare of the people to be enhanced.

 

Everything we are doing can, in one way or another, be attributed to these goals,” he stated.

He further emphasized the administration’s dedication to maintaining safety and security, providing infrastructure, and ensuring the welfare of the populace to attract and sustain investments.

 

We will continue to work hard to make this place safe and secure, provide infrastructure, and ensure that the welfare of our people occupies a pride of place for investments like this to come in”, he added.

 

Governor Otti highlighted the significance of the proposed flour mill and ceramic industry, noting their potential to provide employment opportunities and boost the state’s revenue.

 

We are excited about having these two industries coming to our State. It’s important for job creation and productivity, as the gross domestic product of the state would improve with such activities,” he stressed.

Earlier in his speech, the coordinator of MUNEC Nigeria Limited and CEO, Mr. Moses Nwankpa, revealed plans to establish a world-class flour mill and ceramic industry in Ovungwu, Isialangwa South LGA.

 

Nwankpa disclosed that they have acquired sufficient land for the factories and secured funding sources from Florida, United States, but require government support in the form of a Comfort Letter to access the funds.

 

He revealed that the raw materials for the factories would be sourced locally, and the establishments would create jobs for about six thousand people in the state.

 

Contributing, the Process Engineer of the company, Uzoma Collins, affirmed the feasibility of the floor mill and ceramic industry in Abia and solicited government support from the construction to production stages,assuring that the industries would engage the youth in productive ventures.
