The Labour Party chieftain and candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and democratic values as the country marks the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued and made available to newsmen today, Dr. Anyaso congratulated Nigerians, particularly the people of Bende Federal Constituency, on the occasion and emphasized the critical role of security in sustaining democracy and driving national development.
According to him, a secure environment remains the bedrock for economic growth, social progress, and the effective delivery of democratic dividends to citizens. He urged governments at all levels, security agencies, and other stakeholders to intensify efforts toward tackling the nation’s security challenges.
The Abia-born business mogul noted that no society can attain meaningful progress in the absence of peace and security, stressing that the protection of lives and property must remain a priority for leaders across the country.
The Labour Party stalwart also encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions and uphold the principles of peaceful coexistence, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious affiliations.
Addressing constituents in Bende, he urged them to remain committed to the democratic process and to make informed decisions during elections, adding that responsible participation in the electoral process is vital to ensuring good governance and sustainable development.
The CAADES Chief Executive, further charged voters to approach the 2027 elections with a sense of responsibility, expressing confidence that visionary and people-centred leadership would accelerate the growth and development of Bende Federal Constituency.
Anyaso wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable Democracy Day celebration and reaffirmed his dedication to the welfare, progress, and overall advancement of the people of Bende.
