Ude Oko Chukwu Pays Final Tribute to Late Mrs. Hope Uka Kalu Uko

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, has paid tribute to the late Mrs Hope Uka Kalu Uko, describing her as a woman who lived a worthy and exemplary life.

Oko chukwu spoke during the funeral church service held in honour of the deceased at her country home, Ukwa Community Primary School, Nkporo, Abia State.

The former Deputy Governor, who described himself as a son of the soil, expressed appreciation to the ministers, organisers of the church service, relatives, friends and other sympathisers who travelled from far and near to attend the ceremony.

He also commiserated with the immediate family, particularly Mr Anthony Agu Uka, whom he described as his dear brother, and his siblings and extended family members.

According to him, the family should take heart in the knowledge that their mother had lived a life worthy of emulation and should be resting in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Oko Chukwu said the most important thing in life was for a person to live a worthy life that would leave a positive legacy and make others proud of the person’s journey on earth.

He noted that death was inevitable for all mortals, urging the bereaved family to draw strength from the good memories and legacy left behind by the deceased.

On behalf of the people of Nkporo, he expressed gratitude to all those who attended the funeral service and prayed for God’s protection and safe journey for the visitors as they returned to their various destinations.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the deceased’s son, Mr Anthony Agu Uka, expressed profound appreciation to Sir Ude Oko chukwu for honouring the family with his presence and for his words of comfort during the funeral service.

Uka also thanked all the dignitaries, relatives, friends, community members and other sympathisers who came from different places to identify with the family and honour the memory of his late mother.

He prayed that God would bless everyone who made out time to attend the funeral and grant them safe journeys back to their various destinations.
