Mr. Sunday Ogbu, the founder of Olejuru Foundation said that his motive for going into philanthropy is to keep celebrating his mother while she is still alive and to give back to the society.
He described women as the foundation of nation building
Ogbu stated that his foundation focuses more on education because he believes that education is a strong deterrent to crime and poverty.
According to him, “we started by entertaining children, building classrooms and now the foundation has 100 students on scholarship”
“We are also empowering women, supporting them in their august conferences as well as providing free medical services to them because we know government cannot do everything.
Ogbu spoke with journalists at Bende council stadium in Bende Local Government Area during their women’s August conference. He advised the women to maintain peace at home and continue to contribute to the development of their respective communities.
