Gov Eno Assures Continuous Opening Up of Rural Roads in Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to opening up rural roads across the state to enhance the free movement of goods and services and stimulate economic growth.

Speaking with Government House Correspondents after inspecting ongoing projects in Nsit Ubium and Eket Local Government Areas, the Governor said his administration remains focused on delivering people-centred projects in line with the ARISE Agenda to improve living conditions, strengthen rural connectivity, and drive development across the state.

Governor Eno, while appreciating the people of the state for nominating him as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections, reiterated his commitment to prioritising the welfare and interests of the people through his development agenda.

“I am deeply committed to opening up rural communities because access to markets, schools, and farms is essential for the rapid economic growth of our people and the state.

“As we open up rural communities, we are facilitating the movement of goods to urban centres and contributing to a reduction in the prices of these products,” he said.
