ABIA DGOV inspect new SITE FOR RELOCATION OF Isi-gate tabletop traders

Abia state deputy governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu has undertook an unscheduled inspection visit of the proposed new site for the relocation of all table top and street traders in Isi-gate at Afara Ibeku, Umuahia.

Addressing the people of the Afara Ibeku community, Engr Emetu emphasised the importance of the project aimed at relocating the street traders at Isi-gate.

He said that the main focus of the project was aimed at decongesting human and vehicular traffic gridlock constantly experienced within that axis.

According to him, the relocation would ensure free movement and achieve a seren environment towards improving the overall aesthetics value of the State Capital.

The Deputy Governor highlighted that the new market cluster will also enhance the proximity between buyers and sellers as the market site is more central.

He further emphasised that the necessary facilities of an ultra modern market will all be put in place to ensure a conducive business environment for all, these includes constant electricity, General toilet facilities, water supply, a leisure/ recreational spot among others.

The people of the community expressed their joy and excitement over the it as a welcomed development.They conveyed their gratitude to the Government of Dr. Alex  Otti as they sang and chanted praises for the Governor & His Deputy.
