The Wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, has reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of Governor Alex Otti to the transformation of the education sector through the promotion of quality learning, infrastructural development, and policies that encourage academic excellence among students.

Mrs. Otti made this known during the Grand Finale and Prize Presentation Ceremony of the 14th Edition of the 2025/2026 Vision Africa Inter-School Debate Competition held in Umuahia.

She described the emergence of Gradiel International School, Umuahia, as champions of the competition as a reflection of teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

Mrs. Otti commended the President of Vision Africa Radio, Archbishop Sunday Onuoha, for sustaining the annual competition over the years, describing the initiative as a significant contribution to nurturing a generation of informed, responsible, and academically driven young people.

According to her, education goes beyond examinations, grades, and certificates, stressing that true learning should inspire curiosity, nurture creativity, build character, and prepare young people to become responsible leaders and problem-solvers in society.
