U-17 AFCON: Eaglets tackle Guinea

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will lurk horns with Guinea in the first semi-finals of the on-going U-17 African Cup of nations taking place in Tanzania.

The five time world champions defeated the home side 5-4, piped Angola 1-0 before settling for a 1-1 draw with Uganda to come tops of group A.

Guinea on their part, lost their first match 0-2 to Cameroon, beat Senegal 2-1 and defeated Morocco 1-0 to come second in group B.

In the second semifinals, Cameroon will clash with Angola.

All the four teams have already qualified for the 2019 U-17 World Cup slated for Brazil.

This is the 12th time Nigeria will be qualifying for the World Cup. Cameroon is qualifying for the second time after they debuted in 2003.  Angola will be making their debut appearance in Brazil while Guinea will be making their sixth appearance.
