ENYIMBA  EDGE CLOSER TO WINNING THE NIGERIAN LEAGUE

The People’s Elephant, Enyimba International will emerge the champions of the 2018/19 Nigerian Professional Football League if the win their last match against third placed Akwa United.

Enyimba did what they have to do tonight as the two earlier day four matches ended in a draw. Rangers and kano Pillars ended their encounter 1-1 while Akwa United and Lobi Stars played out a barren draw.

The 2003 and 2004 CAF Champions League winners defeated FC Ifeanyi Ubah 3-1 to move tops of the Super Six table with nine points.  They are hotly chased by Kano Pillars with eight points in second place and Akwa United, who are third with six points.
