Abia Ministry of Agriculture Disclaims AFAN Purported Election, Calls for Redress

The Abia State Ministry of Agriculture has called on farmers, agricultural organizations, and stakeholders in the state to disregard the outcome of the purported election of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) in the state, hence dissociating itself from the reports making rounds.

In a release signed by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Cliff Agbaeze, and made available to newsmen, the Ministry stated that it is neutral in all internal affairs of the association. The Ministry emphasized that its primary focus is fostering and promoting agricultural development in Abia State.

The Commissioner further affirmed that the Ministry will never align with or involve itself in any form of internal disputes or conflicts capable of undermining the progress of farmers and agricultural development in the state.

“We, therefore, appeal to all stakeholders, farmers, agricultural organizations, and the general public to ignore any reports or insinuations linking the Ministry to the said purported elections.”

While advising farmers to remain focused and dedicated to their agri-business and related activities, he reiterated that the Ministry remains committed to providing unwavering support to all farmers and stakeholders across the state without any form of discrimination.
