A coalition of women groups under Rivers Women Unite for SIM in conjunction with the Renewed Hope Women of Faith in Politics has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced in a statement on Thursday during a Praise Rally held in Rivers State, where the group formally pledged their backing for both leaders’ re-election bids.
According to the group, the decision was driven by what they described as the progressive and people-oriented policies of President Tinubu, aimed at strengthening national security, economic growth, and sustainable development.
They also commended Governor Fubara for what they termed inclusive governance, infrastructure development, and human capital advancement across the state under his “Rivers First” agenda.
The women expressed confidence that both leaders would continue to deliver impactful governance, urging Nigerians and residents of Rivers State to support their continued stay in office to consolidate existing gains.
They further argued that interrupting ongoing reforms at both federal and state levels would slow down progress already recorded in key sectors.
The group, however, called on President Tinubu and Governor Fubara to remain focused and committed to their respective mandates, assuring them of sustained support from women across the state.
