Anyaso Foundation, Rebirth Ministries Launch Free Eye Care Outreach in Abia

Chima Anyaso Foundation, in collaboration with Rebirth Ministries and A Precious Sight Foundation, has announced a five-day free eye care outreach for residents of Bende Local Government Area in Abia State.

The programme, titled “5-Day Free Rebirth Ministries Sight Outreach,” will hold at the Ofuji Resource Centre, opposite Mark Onyeka Fuel Station, by Igbere Junction in Bende LGA.

According to the organisers, the outreach is designed to improve access to quality eye care services, with beneficiaries set to receive free eye screening, reading glasses, and prescription glasses.

The exercise is scheduled to run from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

To ensure wide participation, free transportation has been arranged for residents across the 13 wards of Bende Federal Constituency, with designated days for each area.

Igbere Wards A and B are slated for Monday, while Item Wards A, B and C will be covered on Tuesday. Residents of Alayi and Ugwueke/Ezeukwu will be attended to on Wednesday. Thursday is reserved for Umuhu, Ozuitem, Uzuakoli and Umuimenyi/Nkpa, while Bende and Itumbuzor will be covered on Friday.

Contact persons have also been assigned to coordinate transportation from each ward, including Chukwuma (08163586957), Ekebuisi (08165332534), Agu (07068039785), Emeka (09069039812), and Bello (09049569790).

The organisers noted that the programme has received approval from the Abia State Government and is powered by Fuji Movement.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the initiative by attending according to their ward schedule and coming prepared with necessary information to ensure a smooth registration process.
