Otti’s Aide, Inem Announces Power Restoration Plans For Abiriba Kingdom At Women’s Conference

 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Commerce and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem has has assured the people of Abiriba Kingdom that the administration of Governor Alex Otti has advanced plans to reconnect the kingdom to the national grid before the end of the year.

 

Chief Nwaka Inem disclosed this while speaking at the 2024 International Conference of the Abiriba Presbyterian Women held at the St Peter’s Presbyterian Church of Nigeria,Abiriba Urban Parish,Ameke Abiriba.

 

He said that the present administration is aware of their many years of lack of power and has set in motion effective machineries towards addressing the challenge.

 

The government of Dr Alex Otti is aware of the years of darkness in our Community (Abiriba Kingdom)and has put in place appreciate machinery to address permanently the years of suffering of our people due to lack of electricity.

The government we have in Abia today is people-oriented and will show commitment to improving the living standard of the people.

 

This power issue has lingered for long and has slowed development in our community and by the grace of God, the administration of Governor Alex Otti has will end these year’s of suffering before the end of this year”, Chief Inem assured.

He said apart from the electricity issue, the Otti led administration has equally outlined some other development projects for the people of Abiriba which will soon be unfold and called on the Church to continue to pray for the Governor to enable him deliver on his blueprint for the state.

 

Chief Inem used the forum to congratulate the women on their annual event and called for moral reorientation of the younger ones to enable them imbibe positive virtues that an average Abiriba woman is known for in the past.

Earlier in his remarks, the chairman on the occasion, Mr Anaga Ndukwe Anaga who described Women as the salt of the nation, commended them for their steadfastness in praying for the nation, adding that their prayers are greatly needed in the face of agitations across the country.

 

Mr Anaga also noted that the Women have through various church and community Associations, continued to contribute their quota in developing the family and society at large.

 

He lauded Governor Otti for the ongoing reconstruction of the Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Isuikwuato-Abiriba-Ohafia road and called for continuous support to the present administration.

In an address, the National President, Abiriba Presbyterian Women, Ezinne Aba Obasi said the event with the theme; “The Victorious Christian Woman”, provides them the opportunity to come together to recharge, refocus and reignite their passion in furtherance of the work of God as well as support one another.
