Gov Adeleke Backs PDP Governors, Reaffirms Loyalty To Party Amid Leadership Crisis

Osun State Governor, Gov Ademola Adeleke, has taken a firm stance on the ongoing leadership crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring his unwavering support for the party’s constitution and stand with PDP Governors Forum amidst crisis in the party. In a statement released on September 19, 2024, Governor Adeleke emphasized that he stands by the constitution’s provisions, particularly those outlining succession procedures for elected chairmen.

“I stand by the Constitution of our great party which clearly spelt out the succession procedure in case of the exit of an elected chairman,” Governor Adeleke stated. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the resolution of the PDP Governors’ Forum, of which he is an integral part.

The governor’s stance has been praised by the PDP Youth Group Red Cap Movement, Osun Chapter, who lauded his political maturity and logical reasoning.
