The remains of Mrs. Chinweikpe Onuoha, mother of traditional ruler Eze Onyebuchi Onuoha of Egwu Ukwu Autonomous Community, have been laid to rest in her hometown of Umuegwu Okpuala, Afugiri, in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.

The funeral ceremony took place at the Palace of Peace in Umuegwu Okpuala, where family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects to the late matriarch.
Speaking at the event, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, thanked God for the long and meaningful life lived by Mrs. Onuoha. He said her passing has left a big gap in her family and in the lives of many people she helped.

Dr. Meribole encouraged the family to find comfort in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life and left behind good examples for others to follow.
In a sermon titled “The Benefit of Dying,” the Vice Chairman of the District Council of the Evangelical Church Winning All, Rev. Uchendu Okorie, said that death brings peace and eternal rest to those who believe in God. He urged the family not to mourn without hope.

In his tribute, Eze Onyebuchi Onuoha described his late mother as a humble, trustworthy, and God-fearing woman. He said she had a strong influence on many people and promised that the family would continue to uphold her values.
Mrs. Chinweikpe Onuoha, who died at the age of 95, is survived by her children, grandchildren, and other relatives.
