The People’s Democratic Party (PDP),Deputy Governorship Candidate in Abia State and the Lawmaker representing Umunneochi State Constituency at the Abia House of Assembly, Hon Okey Igwe, has wished Abians well at 31, stating that the Governor of the State,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu,has done alot of foundational work that successive governments can build on.
In an interview with National Ambassador, the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate said the Governor of the state has been doing alot of work in Abia, particularly in Aba where he has done alot of road projects, embarked on the Enyimba Economic City which according to him, would engineer an economic development plan for the state and as well, create millions of job for Abia youths.
He added that the Geometric power plant is another laudable idea of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s led administration, stating that eventhough the project has not been actualized, it has the capacity of boosting electric power of Aba, noting that once Aba is gotten right, Abia has been gotten right.
Hon Igwe added that the coming administration of Prof Uche Ikonne and himself, would build on the foundations Gov Ikpeazu has laid, moving Abia to another level of development.
According to him, the government of Prof Ikonne would be introducing participatory governance where every Abian would be involved in governance and as well, partner with everybody in communities base on comparative advantage.”What is it we have in Obingwa,Bende, Isialangwa North among others,that the government can harness for the general welfare of Abia state”.
He assured that the coming administration would initiate policies that will uplift the state and set it on the faster pace of development.
The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, while wishing Abians a successful 31st anniversary, prayed God to keep the state and it’s citizens in peace, urging them to vote massively for the PDP come 2023.
