You’re fueling crisis in Abia, AGN lambasts National President, says it is comfortable with Amalaha

Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN Abia State chapter has lambasted Mr Emeka Rolas, the National President of AGN to desist from interfering with their matter that is before the law court.

Interacting with newsmen in Umuahia, over the seeming crisis which metamorphosed from visiting the Police stations to the court of law, a member of AGN Abia State chapter, Mr. Signor Nathaniel Nwoko said AGN from the three Senatorial districts of the state, namely Umuahia, Aba and Ohafia zones are embittered with the alleged inimical activities of the National President which is striving to put the chapter in disarray.

He pointed out that the only conflict that had existed and still existing in the chapter was between those who insist on protecting the guild in Abia State and those whose interest is only to come, milk and get out of the guild, as allegedly masterminded by Rolas

Nwoko who took newsmen down to the memory lane of the brewing problems orchestrated by the national president, ranging from denying registration of members in Umuahia to participate in the guild’s election, illegal cancellation of an election adjudged the most peaceful that brought in Mr. David Amalaha and the imposition of one Doris Ogala as the interim chairman of the guild, decried that the Abia State Government has invested much into the entertainment industry but the national secretariat has never allowed it to reflect in the Abia chapter.

“Before the election that brought in David Amalaha, we said AGN Abia State chapter must put to an end, all forms of backwardness and elect someone who is at the heart of the people, who will work for the people. And after the election, the former chairman, Mr. Sylvester Akwukwaegbu, officially handed over the guild’s seal, files and other documents to our Chairman, Mr. David Amalaha. But instead of guiding us as our father, Rolas is fueling more crisis, which climaxed in heading to the law court”.

Lending his voice, a member also, Mr. Egwuatu Daniel said that AGN Abia State chapter has unanimously chosen who will lead them well and right and is comfortable with Amalaha, who has done marvellously well, unlike Mr. Emeka Rolas, who he alleged has not done a sop opera since his ascension to the seat of the National President of AGN and who also out of alleged corrupt practices, imposed a nonmember of the guild as a caretaker committee chairman.
