Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, Thursday, visited the troubled Ariaria International Market to address the tense situation that arose after two policemen were tragically killed recently near the market by unidentified gunmen.
During his visit, Dr. Otti expressed his heartfelt condolences to the authorities of the Nigeria Police and the families of the deceased policemen and urged everyone to refrain from acts of hostility and retaliation.
He emphasized the need for peace and unity among the traders and residents of the area.
The Governor issued a directive to the traders to resume their normal business activities without fear, assuring that the security agencies would be present to provide protection and ensure their safety.
