Omerekpe Visits Delegates, Stakeholders In Abia South, Says He’ll Transform Abia In Two Years

 

 

Ahead of the forth coming PDP Primary elections, a frontline Governorship Aspirant in Abia State and founder Ncheta Omerekpe Foundation (NOF),Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe,has met with PDP stakeholders and delegates in Abia South Senatorial District, promising to transform Abia in two years, if elected as the next Governor of the state.

The Ncheta Omerekpe campaign trail which stormed Ukwa East, Ukwa West and Ugwunnagbo Local Government Areas respectively, preached the message of hope, assuring to fix Abia, particularly Aba in two years as the Governor, calling for the support of delegates to achieve his mandate.

 


Omerekpe said he would properly harness the resources of Ukwa as an oil producing area and no resources would lie wasting, noting that ASOPADEC would begin to function according to its mandate of establishment.

He said Abia state has witnessed alot of developmental challenges, hence, the need to enthrone positive and selfless leaders,who can bring the desired change.

The governorship aspirant further revealed that for the past five years,he has spent over #5b on road constructions, empowerment,medical outreaches, scholarships,among others,stating that he would step down for any governorship aspirant under the PDP, that has spent one third of his personal fund on Abia, as compared to what he has done.

While urging delegates to carefully choose who would fly the flag of the party regardless of the money being churn out to them by aspirants, said the business of primaries is a very critical one, therefore, should not be toiled with.

“Whatever they give to you, collect it because it is your money, but ensure you vote your conscience. Vote in people that have the sincerity and commitment to serve you better.

“Ukwa has been short changed and marginalized.It is time for you to revolt”.

The PDP governorship hopeful, however, promised to continue with his template of development for Abia if elected.

Responding, the leader of the party in Ukwa East,Rt.Hon Emeka Stanley, commended Chief Omerekpe for his outspokenness and well for backing his words with proofs, while Chief Reginald Ezenta and the Leader of Ukwa East Legislative council, Rt Hon. Beatrice Mejuru, insisted that Ukwa East be given the dividend of democracy, adding that women should be given 35% Affirmative action.

The Stakeholders and delegates present were Elvis Nwagbara,Chief Chidi Rowland,Barr Isreal Bethel,Ossy Nwamuo,Ijeoma Azunna,Rt Hon Emeka Stanley,Lady Cecilia Okere,Sir Ibeh Ukakpa,Eric Ugbor,Reginald Ezenta,Stella Igbobi, Magistrate Emily Herbert and others. While members of the Ncheta Omerekpe Campaign team,were the spokesperson Chibunna Nwanosike(OOR), Chief Ebere Okota,Chief Aguwa and the Aba South woman leader,Ike Chinyere Margaret among others.

Similarly, the Ukwa West stakeholders and delegates, played host to the Ncheta Omerekpe campaign trail,with Hon Ikpechukwu Onuoha,Chidiebere Nwogu, Hon John Ajuzieogu,Hon Kingsley Enyite,Rt Hon Ngozi Ulunwa,Barr Chima Nwosu,Barr Henry Chilaka,Ndubuisi Enyioko,Sir Esiaba Iwezor,Chief Gideon Chilaka,Hon Jeddy Enwereuzor,Hon Tony Mezie Nwaubani,Chief Richard Nwagbara,Hon Goodluck Nwaobiwe,Ikechi Onuoha,Ogbugo Onyebuchi,Hon Henry Nwokemgbede among others in attendance.

In their responses,Ikpechukwu Onuoha,Rt.Hon Ngozi Ulunwa,Hon John Ajuzieogu and also the PDP chairman in Ukwa West,Kingsley Enyite, lamented how Ukwa West has been bereft of development even as an oil producing community, stating their readiness to get it right this time.

In Ugwunnagbo Local Government Area, the tempo was sustained as stakeholders of the party and delegates were fully  on ground to receive Chief Ncheta Omerekpe.

Present were the Local government chairman, Hon Joy Nnata,Acho Iheasimuo,Hon Chinyere Onuoha,Barr Eze Obinna Onwuma,Chief Ngozi Ekeke,Hon Ezekwesiri Anaba,Chief Ihueze Agomuo and Hon Moses Azubuike.

In their responses, Chief Chinyere Onuoha, commended the giant strides of Chief Omerekpe,while Hon Joy Nnata commended the rate Ngwa sons came up to vie for governorship, a feat she said was not obtainable before.
