Fubara, Wike Reunite Behind Tinubu, Chinda for 2027

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, have pledged to work together under the Rainbow Coalition to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and the coalition’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Fubara made the declaration on Tuesday during the unveiling of candidates of the Rainbow Coalition at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt, where he called on members to put aside past disagreements and end factional divisions within their political family.

The governor urged his supporters to embrace reconciliation and demonstrate loyalty to the coalition, stressing that unity was essential to its political success.

He described Wike as the political family’s common leader and “General Overseer,” insisting that members should respect his leadership in the interest of peace, stability and electoral victory.

Fubara, who described the gathering as an emotional reunion with his political family, acknowledged Wike and other leaders for their roles in his emergence as governor.
