The delegation visited to formally express its solidarity and support for the present administration, while also briefing the First Lady on the outcome of the union’s recent election.
Speaking during the visit, the President General congratulated Mrs. Otti for her support toward Governor Alex Otti’s development agenda and commended her commitment to women empowerment and social welfare initiatives across the state.

Mrs. Onyekwere also appealed to the Abia First Lady to support the union’s skills acquisition centre at Ugwuavo with an industrial bakery oven and a sachet water production machine.
According to her, the equipment would help reduce youth unemployment and poverty while contributing to the economic growth of the state.
Responding, Mrs. Otti thanked the delegation for the visit and commended Nzuko Arochukwu Women Wing Worldwide for its commitment to community development and women’s participation in governance.
She encouraged the newly elected executives to use their platform to advance the welfare of women and children in Arochukwu and beyond.
The First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to partnering with women groups and socio-cultural organisations to promote inclusive development across Abia State.
In her remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs. Chinenye Nwaka, commended the group for supporting the administration of Governor Alex Otti.
She advised members of the association to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and encourage others within their communities to do the same, stressing that active civic participation remains essential to sustaining good governance.
