The Head of Service, Benson Ojeikere, has called on public servants to remain dedicated, hardworking, and committed to delivering quality service to the public. He said workers in the Civil Service must always strive for excellence and carry out their duties with a strong sense of responsibility.
Ojeikere made the call during a mentorship session organised to promote productivity, efficiency, and professional development among workers in the Public Service. The session focused on helping workers improve their performance, develop positive work habits, and contribute more effectively to the growth of the Service.
Speaking during the programme, the Head of Service advised workers to avoid laziness, procrastination, and other negative attitudes that reduce efficiency in the workplace. He encouraged them to be disciplined, punctual, and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement in order to achieve success in their careers.
He further stressed that discipline, sacrifice, dedication, and professionalism are important qualities every public servant must possess. According to him, workers who show commitment and outstanding performance would continue to receive recognition and rewards for their efforts.
Ojeikere also highlighted the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in building a stronger and more result-oriented Public Service. He urged workers to always uphold ethical standards and work together to improve service delivery for the benefit of the public.
