Otti’s Govt Committed To Revitalize Health Sector In Abia- Prof Kalu

The State Government has reiterated its commitment to revitalize health sector for the effective service delivery in the state.

The Secretary to the state Government Prof.Kenneth Kalu, made this known when the Executive members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Abia State paid him a solidarity visit in his office, described pharmacy as the integral part of health sector which roles cannot be over emphasized.

Prof Kalu,who reminded them of the Governor’s vision of building and repositioning the state, called for their commitment and support to the new administration in taking the state to a greater height.

The chief scribe who disclosed that plans to place health sector in the right position are already in the top gear, promised that their request will be given a proper attention while urging them to shun selfish interest for the good of the government.

Earlier in her speech,the vice chairman Mrs Ezinne Omenyima,said that they are on a solidarity visit to congratulate the Governor Dr Alex Otti as well as thank God for his emergence as the Governor of Abia State.

She used the opportunity to
enumerate some of the challenges facing the association to include non inclusion of pharmacists in health sector, need for alternative medicine site,need for pharmaceutical industry among others while pledging their unalloyed support to the state Government.
