Elder Henry Chilaka has officially taken over the leadership of the Abia Stste Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), as the sole Administrator, promising to revisit staff Welfare.
in his remarks, shortly after taking over the baton of leadership from the outgone Sole Administrator, Rt Hon Emeka Stanley, Elder Henry Chilaka, promised to hold the welfare of the workers in a high esteem.
According to him,every worker is worthy of his wages, therefore, everyone must work to justify his payment.
He beckoned on the staff to support him,so he can deliver maximally, to the benefit of all, lauding the administration of Rt Hon Emeka Stanley for pursuing the workers interest keenly, which he pointed was evident in the looks of the staff.
Chilaka, however, expressed appreciation to God and to the Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve, promising not to defeat the confidence reposed on him.
He also promised to replicate some of the developmental strides recorded when he served as a sole Administrator, adding that the ASOPADEC, as an interventionist commission, would pursue the development of the areas under it.
Earlier, Rt Hon Emeka Stanley congratulated Elder Chilaka for the feat, disclosing that he is happy to hand over the position of a Sole Administrator to him, describing him as an experienced Administrator,that has the capacity of transforming and effecting positive changes in the oil producing areas.
While calling for maximum support from the staff,said the new sole Administrator would consolidate on whatever foundation the past administration had laid and even surpass them.
Meanwhile, Rt Hon Emeka Stanley noted that since the ASOPADEC was created in 2010, it has been delivering on its constitutional demands of providing infrastructure, healthcare, commerce,welfare packages,among others.
He further lauded the Governor of the State,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu,for the opportunity to serve and deliver his quota to Ndi Abia, calling on the staff of the Commission to give their total support to the new sole Administrator.
Highpoint of the event was an inspection tour on some of the Commission’s facilities.
