ceputy governor of Abia State, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, has cautioned the general public to be wary of fraudulent individuals linking his name and office on contract award.
In a press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor, Sir Cyril Chukwu Eke Mba, made it clear that his office does not award contract or issue approval for revenue generation on behalf of the state government.
The release described as fraudulent anyone claiming to offer such contract or authorisation in the name of the deputy governor.
Sir Eke Mba urged members of the public to be cautious and report anyone defrauding innocent people by impersonating the person and office of the deputy governor and assured that those found to engage in such activities through any channel including the social media would be prosecuted.
He referred those seeking a contract or approval for revenue generation to visit relevant ministries or government channels for official government transactions and inquries.
