Civil servants in the state have been called upon to support Governor Ikpeazu’s second tenure in the office for better service delivery.
The permanent secretary, Exco secretariat Bureau,office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Elder Ochu I. Ochu, who made the call while baring his mind on the victory of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu,expressed happiness over the victory and reassured civil servants of better days ahead in line with governor’s promises before election.
He explained that Gov. Ikpeazu has met some of the demands of civil servants and expresses hope that he will look into those which have not been tackled.
Elder Ochu described civil service as the engine room to the success of any government and advised that the orientation of service in ethics application should be brought to bear.
He implored civil servants to discharge their duties effectively and not to join politicians to propagate hate speech in working against the interest of the government.
The permanent secretary called on Governor Ikpeazu’s opponents to concede defeat and join hands with him to take the state to an enviable heigh.
