NOA Calls For Patriotic Participation In Building A Vibrant Nation.

 

Comrade Victor Orji, State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Abia Directorate, has called for a positive change of attitude among youths. He emphasized the need for patriotic participation in building a resourceful and vibrant country.

Comrade Orji made this call during his maiden engagement with stakeholders at the palace of Chief Ibe Boco, a philanthropist from Abiriba in Ohafia LGA. He stressed that NOA is committed to installing positive attitudes, values, and behaviors among youths to make them leaders of tomorrow.

The State Director urged youths to desist from drug abuse, cultism, and gangsterism, instead imbibing habits that foster national development and integration. He condemned the “get rich quick” syndrome and encouraged youths to acquire skills for self-reliance. Comrade Orji commended Chief Ibe Boco for uniting youths, restoring peace, and curbing restiveness in the community.

In his response, Chief Ibe Boco, Chairman and CEO of HELP THE YOUTHS FOUNDATION, attributed some of the country’s problems to lack of policy implementation.

He advocated for youth empowerment to achieve grassroots development, emphasizing that engaging youths in productive ventures is the solution to restiveness. Chief Boco pledged to partner with NOA to uplift youths and give them a sense of belonging.

The programme featured the presentation of some publications, from NOA that promotes value re-orientation and sensitization.
