Canada will not go beyond the group stage of this World Cup after the lost their second group match to Croatia 4-1.
After losing their first match by a lone goal to Belgium, at least they would have gotten a draw to stand a chance, rather they were crushed by Croatia.
Bayern Munich winger, Alphonso Davies scored Canada’s first World Cup goal just after 67 seconds.
Croatia did not panic but continued attacking their opponents until the 36th minute, when Kramaric equalised. The former Leicester City man scored his second of the day in the second half.
Livaja and Majer scored a goal each to complete the routing.
With Croatia, Belgium and Morocco battling for only two round of 16 tickets, the final group matches on Thursday will be explosive as Morocco will take on Canada while Belgium tread tackles with their European brothers Croatia.
