The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, Dr Oluebube Chukwu, has extended warm congratulations to workers across the state in celebration of the 2025 International Workers’ Day.
In a statement released earlier today, Dr Chukwu commended the unwavering commitment, resilience and dedication of Abia workers, noting that their role is central to the successful implementation of government policies and the advancement of good governance.
“Workers are the engine room of any government”, Dr Chukwu stated. “Their tireless efforts, often behind the scenes, drive the progress we all celebrate. On this special day, we honor their sacrifices and reaffirm our commitment to creating a better, more enabling environment for their growth and well-being.”
He further emphasized that the administration of Governor Alex Otti remains steadfast in its efforts to uphold due process, transparency, and accountability in the state, principles which he noted were made possible by the cooperation and professionalism of the Abia workforce.
Dr Chukwu, however, urged workers to remain steadfast in their service to the state and to continue to partner with the government in building a more prosperous Abia.
