Dr. Chima Anyaso; the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, is set to participate in the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) in New York, where he will speak at a high-level side event focused on sustainable development and global cooperation.
Anyaso, who is also Chairman of the CAADeS Group, is billed to speak at the UNGA 2026 side event organised by the Global Reputation Forum on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
The event, themed “Beyond Borders, Building Prosperity That Lasts: The Sustainable Development Agenda,” will take place at the Pratt Institute Manhattan Campus in New York and will also be livestreamed.
His participation provides an opportunity to engage with international stakeholders on issues of sustainable development, economic prosperity and partnerships, while exploring ideas and networks that could contribute to development in Bende Federal Constituency.
Since emerging as the Labour Party’s candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Anyaso has consistently emphasised the need for representation that goes beyond legislative advocacy to include partnerships and opportunities capable of supporting local economic development and improving the wellbeing of constituents.
The UNGA engagement, therefore, offers a platform for him to exchange ideas on global development initiatives and explore how international partnerships can translate into opportunities for communities at home.
For Bende, the engagement in New York underscores the potential for local communities to connect with wider development networks and ideas as the constituency looks towards a new phase of representation.
