Missing 4 Children In Abia: Abia Assembly Routes for Urgent Action

The Abia State House of Assembly has called for an Intensified Actions by the security agencies toward safeguarding and rescuing the missing 4 children of same parents.

 

This followed a matter of urgent public importance which was moved by member representing Ukwa West State Constituency Hon. Goddy Adiele on the case of the Missing 4 Children in Abia State.

 

Adiele who expressed shock and disheartenment over the incident prayed, That the House should arrange little finances to aid them to push for the searching of their children taking into cognisance the economic situation in the country.

 

Also, he urged the State government whose responsibility it is to securing lives and property of her citizenry as a matter of urgency enjoin all the security Chiefs together with the Local vigilante groups to be alerted to swing into action fortwith to locate these children.

He, however, prayed God to intervene and provide capable hands that would assist in fishing out those responsible in this dastardly act.

 

In their separate contributions, member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency Hon.Chinasa Anthony supported the prayers of sponsor of the motion Hon. Adiele whole and entire, but frowned at the recklessness of the children’s mother who left the children all alone and considered it ridiculous while noting that this matter could be avoided knowing the security challenges in the country presently.

Also speaking, member representing Umunneochi State Constituency Hon. Ume Matthias called for security personnel to up their adding that the House should visit the affected family prayed God to preserve them pending when they will be released.

 

In his contribution, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Austin Okezie stressed that all hands must be on deck and appealed that appropriate measures be put in place to ensure that the children return to their parents alive and healthy.

 

After all deliberations, the Speaker, therefore, resolved that the tricycle in Umuigu be investigated while assuring that the House would as a matter of urgency a consolation visit to the affected family as well as provide the necessary financial aid to support the family in this devastating moment.
