Otti Presents Labour Party Flag to Anyaso for Bende Reps Seat

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has formally presented the Labour Party flag to Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, the party’s candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in the January 16 Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

The presentation took place on Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium during the party’s official campaign flag-off, which attracted national and state leaders of the Labour Party, members of the National Assembly, state lawmakers, members of the Abia State Executive Council and other party supporters.

While presenting the flag, Governor Otti urged eligible voters to support the Labour Party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.

“Make sure you vote for all the Labour Party candidates. I am handing over this flag to Dr. Chima Anyaso (OFUJI), and I am doing that in the name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,” the Governor said.

In his reaction, Anyaso described the presentation as an important step in his bid to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He disclosed that his campaign would intensify grassroots engagements across the constituency’s local government areas, 13 wards and 214 polling units to present his programmes and communicate his message to the electorate.

“Having received this flag today, we are going to visit the local government areas, the 13 wards of Bende and the 214 polling units to give our people a message of hope,” he stated.

The Labour Party candidate added that his campaign team had maintained contact with communities across the constituency ahead of the formal flag presentation.

The ceremony marks the formal commencement of another phase of Anyaso’s campaign activities as the Labour Party intensifies preparations for the January 16 elections.
