The Super Falcons of Nigeria lost 2-1 to USA last night in the second leg of their friendly match.
Recall that the Nigerian ladies were thrashed 4-0 in the first leg played last Saturday.
Last night, the Super Falcons put up a better performance. Uchenna Kanu equalised early in the second half after Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin’s own goal gave the Americans a first half lead.
The parity, however lasted for only 16 minutes as Rose Lavelle scored the winner.
The Super Falcons will play in next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup after finishing fourth in the Women’s African Cup of Nations.
