Be good Ambassadors: Abia contingents to the Holy land urged

The Abia State Governor,Okezie Ikpeazu has charged Abia Contingents to the holy land to be worthy ambassadors of the state by exhibiting conducts that will project the state in good light.

Gov Ikpeazu who gave the charge while addressing the Abia state pilgrims contingents who paid him a Courtesy visit at government house House, shortly before their departure to the holy land described their participating in this year’s pilgrimage as very significant for the singular reason that they are going to seek the face of God for His mercies on the state and nation especially now the 2019 elections are fast approaching.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Sir ude Oko Chukwu noted that apart from their going to Israel to invoke the presence of God to see the state through a successful year and Campaigns, their prayers will help herald new crop of leaders at the local, state and national levels that will not only change the face of the nation’s economy , but ensure that lives and properties of the citizenry are safe from incessant killings and destructions.

He used the forum to enjoin the Abia contingents to pray fervently for the continued peace and progress of the state and for the states leadership as well pray for the re election of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term in office and other PDP candidates in this year’s general elections to enable them make Abia a better place for future generation.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of the Abia Contingents and State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN) Apostle General Emmanuel Agomoh who said they are embarking on the pilgrimage to pray for peace of the state and nation as well as for free and credible elections especially this electioneering period.

He further said that they will also devote themselves to pray for the success of the 2nd term bid of the governor , Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and promised to represent the state very well.
