Gov Otti Will Leave Abia With Nigeria’s Best Fire Service – Alajemba

The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Homeland Security and Fire Service, Mr. Chukwunenye Alajemba, has assured that Governor Alex Otti is determined to leave behind the best-equipped and most efficient fire service in Nigeria.

Alajemba made the declaration during the inauguration of the Osisioma Ngwa Chapter of Alpha Abia Arise held at the Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Headquarters.

He said the Otti administration has embarked on a comprehensive transformation of the state’s fire service through the provision of modern equipment and state-of-the-art facilities capable of responding effectively to emergencies.

According to him, the ongoing total rehabilitation of the Umuahia Fire Service Station is nearing completion, after which attention will shift to the Aba Fire Service Station as part of the government’s commitment to strengthening emergency response across the state.

The governor’s aide recalled a recent fire outbreak along the Aba-Owerri Road where firefighters arrived within minutes and successfully contained the inferno, attributing the swift response to Governor Otti’s investments in emergency services.

He urged members of Alpha Abia Arise and residents of Osisioma Ngwa to continue supporting Governor Otti’s administration and work towards ensuring his re-election in 2027. He also charged the newly inaugurated local government and ward executives to remain committed to the group’s philosophy of “Otti or Nothing.”

Also speaking, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Monitoring and Evaluation, Mazi Ugochukwu Agodi Okoroafor, described Osisioma Ngwa as one of the fastest-developing local government areas in Abia State and the South-East.

He noted that the presence of Geometric Power in Osisioma has positioned the area as a major economic hub, stressing that reliable electricity remains a key driver of industrial and economic development.

Okoroafor said the “Otti or Nothing” philosophy represents continuity of the developmental strides being recorded under Governor Otti’s leadership.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for the Local Government Service Commission, Dr. Godwin Chinedu Duru, expressed delight over the large turnout at the inauguration, particularly the high participation of women.

He described Alpha Abia Arise as more than a political structure, saying it is a platform designed to nurture future leaders and deepen grassroots political participation across the state.
