AWADEC : Team Visits Ophanages, Made Danations

As part of the activities marking this year’s 2022, Abia Women August Delegates Conference (AWADEC) the Wife of Abia Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has commenced visitation to various orphanages in Abia.

In Obingwa Local Government Area of the state the Governor’s wife represented by the Special Assistant on Logistics to the Governor, Benedicta Enyinnaya who visited the S.D.A motherless babies home Aba and Okuenyi Orphanage and destitute development center said it is a good thing to start from here because of the need for assistance in these homes.

In her address, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, in the state Deaconess Rose Urenta, said that there is no way the government of Abia State under the leadership of Governor Okezie lkpeazu and his wife will neglect these ones, they are part of us and we will always identify with them. Meanwhile the team made cash donations and items including toiletries and food stuff to the Ophanages visited.

In their remarks the leader of the SDA Ophanage home Aba, Mrs. Chika Isaac, on behalf of others thanked the team so much for visiting them and made special prayers for Her Excellency the wife of Abia Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu and for the state at large.
