2027: Bende Leaders Endorse Anyaso for House of Reps Seat

Leaders across political, governmental, and community structures in Bende Federal Constituency have endorsed Dr. Chima Anyaso for the House of Representatives, urging him to contest in the forthcoming elections.

The endorsement was made at a stakeholders’ meeting held in Igbere, attended by government appointees, political figures, and representatives from the 13 wards of the constituency.

Presenting the aspirant, the Abia State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Cliff Agbaeze, said the call for Anyaso to run is based on his track record and the confidence he has earned among constituents. He noted that the constituency requires credible representation with a clear development agenda.

Stakeholders from the Ikwuesii Bloc, including Mrs. Ezinne Onyeabor, Dr. Pascal Kalu, and Dr. Kenneth Chikezie, described Anyaso as capable of effective representation.

Similarly, representatives of the Umunna Bloc, among them Dr. Mrs. Chinyere Thomas, Chief Emeka Kalu, and Mr. Peter Ekekwe, commended his contributions to the area and pledged support for his candidacy.

Also speaking, the member representing Bende North State Constituency, Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe, sought support for his re-election bid while backing Anyaso’s aspiration for the federal seat.

The Special Adviser to the Abia State Governor on Political Affairs, Hon. Iheanacho Obioma, thanked stakeholders for their support for the state government and stressed the importance of unity within the constituency.

In his response, Anyaso expressed appreciation for the endorsement, highlighting the need for equity and rotational representation. He said it was the turn of the Umunna Bloc to produce the next representative, noting that the Ikwuesii Bloc had previously held the position.

He pledged to provide effective representation if elected and to justify the confidence reposed in him.

The meeting was attended by several political stakeholders, including the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche; Federal Commissioner at the Federal Character Commission, High Chief Victor Ikeji; Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor, Barr. Chijioke Nwankwo; Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma; and the Mayor of Bende LGA, Deacon Bassey Uwabunkonye, among others.
