Youths from Rivers State have pass vote of confidence on Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Joseph Fubara and endorsed him for a second term in office.
This, according to the leadership of Etche Simplified Youths, in partnership with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Etche Chapter), is a bold display of loyalty and appreciation to the Governor for performing above board.
The group, led by Barr. Chigozie Emem, described Gov. Fubara’s administration as one with unmatched development and inclusiveness.
At a press conference, the youths highlighted several achievements of Governor Fubara’s administration, particularly in Etche Local Government Area. These include the reconstruction of key roads like the Igbodo-Okpala Road, the Okehi-Omuma Road, and the ongoing Egwi-Afara-Mba-Ndashi Road project. They also celebrated the reconstruction of the Rumuokwurusi-Igbo Etche Road, which has significantly improved connectivity in the region.
The group applauded the governor for appointing two Etche sons into the Rivers State Executive Council and others into universities’ governing councils, emphasizing his commitment to inclusive governance.
They further commended the successful conduct of local government elections, which brought in democratically elected chairmen and councillors, including those in Etche.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Emem stated; “We see Governor Fubara’s 2025 budget, christened the ‘Budget of Inclusive Growth and Development,’ as a clear testament to his commitment to the aspirations of Rivers people. We have no doubt it will deliver the progress we seek.”
The youths concluded their statement with a pledge of unwavering support for Governor Fubara, come rain or sunshine, affirming their commitment to his vision for a greater Rivers State.
With the support of Etche Simplified Youths and the National Youth Council of Nigeria, it’s clear that Governor Fubara’s strides in governance have earned him a strong foothold for a second term bid.
