Ukandu Reaffirms Otti’s Commitment to Rewarding Excellence at Finance Ministry Send-Forth

The Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Uwaoma Ukandu, has reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of Governor Alex Otti to supporting excellence driven by passion and dedication to service.

Mr. Ukandu stated this during a send-forth ceremony organised in honour of two outgoing corps members, Miss Sharon Joshua and Miss Bisola Abdulazeez, who recently completed their respective service engagement in the Ministry.

The Commissioner disclosed that the present administration in the state remains committed to rewarding excellence in the civil service. He noted that Governor Otti has embarked on massive rehabilitation and facelift of public infrastructure across the state to provide a conducive working environment for workers.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Elechi Obi-Chianakwalam, the Commissioner commended the outgoing staff for their exemplary commitment to duty. He urged them to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and excellence in their future endeavours, while encouraging them to remain worthy ambassadors of the Ministry.
In their separate remarks, the Director of Finance, Sir Obinna Nwokeoma; Mrs. Ifeoma Okechukwu of the Administration Department; and Adaeze Nwankpa offered words of encouragement to the outgoing corps members. They advised them to remain focused and committed to continuous personal and professional development.

Responding, Miss Sharon Joshua and Miss Bisola Abdulazeez expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Finance, the management, and staff of the Ministry for the guidance, support, and cooperation they received throughout their years of service. They also prayed for God’s blessings upon the Ministry.
The event featured the presentation of gifts to the outgoing corps members. Directors, heads of departments, and unit heads of the Ministry were in attendance.
