Renewed Hope Agenda: NDE offers Labour based activities, Vocational
Entrepreneurial and Agricultural skills to unskilled, unemployed Abians

In line with the Spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has concluded plans to engage 93,731 unskilled and unemployed persons across Nigeria.

In a release made available to newsmen by the state coordinator, NDE Abia, Mrs Tessy Wachuku, the Directorate under the Renewed Hope Mass Employment Creation Initiative, will provide vocational, agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training with complementing transient job opportunities in the public works sector using over 30 different skill sets.

This job creation initiative of the NDE according to the release finds effective expression in six out of the eight
priority areas of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Similarly, start-up capital, equipment and working tools will be provided for deserving participants at the end of the training while others will be linked to credit granting institutions to access loans to commence medium or large scale businesses.

According to the release, the exercise which has commenced from October 14, 2024 will last till the 31st December 2024.

The release read, “Interested persons can log on to www.nde.gov.ng to create an account and register online with a valid email address, Passport Photograph and National ldentity Number (NIN) or alternatively, contact the NDE office in their state of residence for assistance to enroll into the programme. Successful candidates will be contacted by the NDE office in their state of residence for deployment to training outlets and other necessary activities”.

Furthermore, the release disclosed that Agricultural skills; Vocational
Entrepreneurial and labour based activities are the skills that would be offered in Abia State by the NDE.
