MANCHESTER DERBY: De Bruyne, Mahrez Disunite United

Manchester City restored their six points lead over closest rivals Liverpool with a 4-1 demolition of city rivals Manchester United.

Skipper, Kevin De Bruyne opened scoring just after five minutes, but Jardon Sancho equalised for the visitors.

De Bruyne restored City’s lead six minutes later.

Riyad Mahrez grabbed a second half brace to put the game beyond United.

The Citizens outclassed their neighbours and would have scored more goals if not the heroics of David de Gea.

Former United goal keeper Peter Schmeichel summarized the Reds woeful performance; “Far too many players are either not good enough or don’t care enough.”
