Group Endorses Anyaso, Dumps Kalu

A group known as the Blossom Life Foundation has endorsed Labour Party candidate, Dr. Chima Anyaso, for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, announcing its decision to withdraw support for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

The foundation’s National President, Comrade Edward Israel, led the delegation on the endorsement visit, where he said the organisation had resolved to redirect its political support to Anyaso.

Israel disclosed that the foundation would formally notify Kalu of its decision through his Director-General, stressing that the group was prepared to mobilise support for Anyaso across Bende.

“We have done a U-turn and are going to work for my brother. He deserves to be supported,” he said, adding that the visit was to officially declare Anyaso the foundation’s sole candidate for the constituency.

Assuring the Labour Party candidate of the group’s commitment, Israel said the foundation would stand by him throughout the political process.

Responding, Anyaso thanked the delegation for the endorsement, expressing confidence in his aspiration to represent the people of Bende at the National Assembly.

He pledged to pursue the interests of the constituency with honesty and ensure that the people benefited from opportunities and resources available through federal representation.

“Whatever is due to Ndi Bende, I am going to bring it back to our people. What I need from the Federal House is to go and represent our people with honesty,” Anyaso said.

The candidate also assured the foundation that its support would not be taken for granted, promising to remain committed to the expectations of the people if elected.

Explaining his approach to representation, Anyaso said he had developed the Bende Prosperity Contract, tagged “Walk With Me,” through consultations with communities across the constituency.

According to him, the initiative was designed to identify the actual needs of the people rather than rely on conventional campaign promises.

The proposed contract outlines priority areas including agriculture, education, healthcare, youth development, infrastructure, enterprise and other aspects of community development. It is presented by Anyaso as a framework for accountability and people-centred representation.
