Legal Tussle:Emenike begs members for continuous support

The factional guber candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Sir Ikechi Emenike has pleaded with his supporters for their continuous support pending when his court case with the Donatus Nwankpa’s faction would be over.

Emenike who made this appeal during a town hall meeting with members of Umuahia South APC in Apumiri Ubakala, said it is only God that can determine when the court case with the other faction of the party will be over, asking the members to endure with him.

According to him,”The essence of the town hall meeting was to meet with leaders and members of the party, to plan for the 2019 elections”.

Reacting to the comment of the national chairman of the party, Comr Adams Oshiomhole, at the just concluded campaign rally of the Donatus Nwankpa’s faction in Umuahia, where Oshiomhole said Chief Emenike is not the guber candidate in the state and described him as a mole planted by the PDP to destabilize the APC in the state, said he would not want to join issues with Oshiomhole but he (Oshiomhole) will have an opportunity to explain himself in court.

Emenike outrightly condemned the statement of the national chairman, adding that he is a product of court judgement, that saw him through as the Edo state Governor and wonder why he (Oshiomhole) is not respecting court orders.

While urging the members not to loose hope despite the embarrassments and provocation, said in Rivers and some other states, court ruling prevailed and added that Abia will not be an exception.

In their separate speeches, the LGA party chairman, Hon Victor Onuigbo and the Ubakala ward B chairman, Mr Christian Sunday, appreciated God for the Court judgement that sacked the plea of Dr Uche Ogah, saying Chief Ikechi Emenike is the candidate to beat and pray for the Court ruling to prevail.

Earlier in his remarks, the Deputy chairman of APC in the state, Hon Grant Nwaogu charged the members to go get their PVCs so as to vote in President Muhammadu and Chief Emenike for a better Abia.He added that chief Emenike will beat the records of Dr M.I Okpara and chief Sam Mbakwe if elected as the governor of the state
