Everton Football Club have fired their manager Sean Dyche after less than two years in charge at Goodison Park.
Dyches’ sack was announced few hours before Everton welcome League One side Peterborough to the Goodison Park in a third round FA Cup encounter. Everton announced that U-18s head coach Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of the game.
Everton failed to register a shot on target as Bournemouth defeated them 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium last weekend. They have won only three of their last 19 games in the Premier League and are 16th on the table with just one point above the relegation zone.
The Toffees are expected to announce a replacement as soon as possible.
