Liverpool are now eight points clear of second placed Arsenal and have now gone 22 matches in the league without suffering any defeat after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa at the Villa Park.
Mohamed Salah gave the Reds the lead in the 29th minute, but at the end of the first half, Aston Villa have turned the game on its head with goals from Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins ensuring that the home side ended the first half in front.
But 16 minutes into the second half, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s shot took a deflection and went into the net for Liverpool’s equalizer.
The last time Liverpool lost a game in the league was in September last year when they lost to Nottingham Forest by a lone goal.
This draw will prepare the leaders for their Sunday’s clash with Manchester City, who have been bundled out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.
