Lobi Stars of Makurdi commenced their CAF Champions League group stage campaign with a 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The visitors took the lead on the 34th minute through Laffor. But, the home side fought back to equalize just before half time through Kone from the spot.
Early in the second half Martin grabbed the winner for the Nigerians.
Lobi’s next match will be a trip to Ivory Coast to take on ASEC Mimosas.
